I decided not to go through with the purchase. Basically it’s a waste of money unless the world ends. I would be disappointed if ‘enemy’ didn’t appear. And then I would also lie awake at night practicing unnecessary ‘gun moves’, and all of the anxiety that goes along with that…so, I let it go. Same story with the paranoid security cameras I put all around my house…the electricity bill is high now, we’re talking about turning them off. Is that optimism? I basically installed them to catch dogs shitting on my lawn, maybe a frat kid littering. When they’re throwing dirt on my coffin, I want them to play a video of every petty crime committed on my lawn…

The shotgun would be useful if your neighbors have violent, trained attack dogs who don’t get loved or walked properly, and sometimes cross over the property border and come close to tearing your flesh into thousands of bloody pieces when you’re walking to the mailbox. Or if you live on a tropical island where thousands of wild pigs run around feasting on avocados, macadamia nuts, papayas, etc to make the healthiest, tastiest pork imaginable. I don’t own a gun, but I’ve thought about getting one because those two conditions currently apply to me…

You should buy a few crates of paper and ink to get a bulk discount price, and then print out the entire internet. It’s surprisingly affordable considering what you get. I did that a few years ago, but some insects wound up eating through all the paper. It was nice while I had it around, though; looking at paper instead of a computer screen for all that time postponed the time I’d need to get eyeglasses during middle-age by about two weeks I estimate.

I would buy an Atys action figure.

But also consider the indie market is changing these days, when shit like Prison Pit and Cold Heat and Powr Mastrs is getting so much attention lately. This (kickass) story could fit right in with that market.
