somethings about to happen
God Damn Lava
Did Noah stash a coin in is beard?
Metatron just dips like that
Noah is at the crossroads of water, smoke and fire; very nice!
I take it Nommo/Iapetus is dead?
I enjoyed imagining Lucifer saying “fuuu….” for the 11 days between updates.

@Ivan - why would I spoil anything for you? Stay tuned…
Seems like too easy an end for Nommo/Iapetus.
Kicking ass amigo.
PS You and Michael DeForge should do an AT episode together. I think y’all might have complimentary styles.
Tonight was the night. I’m not an artist, nor a mythologist. I have zero references and don’t get it, but could not stop reading it all over the past few hours. I will follow this til the bitter end. Thank you Duncan Trussell for pointing me to this via Twitter. Thank you Jesse Moynihan for creating something awesome to be pointed to. Also, I love and sympathize with all your neuroses, hope work sitch gets better for you. I guess. Bye.
The suspense is making my brain explode. The feel of reading one page at a time like this can only be experienced while the comic is unfolding… same goes for many other webcomics I’ve followed over the years. There are books now, but it’s not the same as following it daily.
i love your work but some thing i noticed
the stone looks darker than in 158
Alright Jesse, I guess I was asking for too much…I’m just worried that he’s going to die pretty much offscreen in an absurdly humiliating, anti-climactic (but highly deserved) manner like rockslide+lava.
@vista, maybe the rock’s darker because he’d burrowed deeper — perhaps to a strata of a different hue.
Man, how blue are Lucifer’s balls right now?
it’s HDR, the lava is quite bright
Jesse, there’s a couple of things i wanted to pick yr brain about. twitter seems like a more appropriate place to do that, but i don’t have an account so i’ma take a word dump here.
i garnered from twitter-stalking you that you’ve only had one ayahuasca ceremony, and inferred that you weren’t psychically fortified enough for it. where did you do this? you said there was a shaman present, but the aya scene is pretty rife with brujos. i had five sessions in peru with an amazing shaman, but my first ceremony wasn’t that great. the subsequent four were some of the most transformative experiences of my life. i only bring this up because based on your personal aesthetic and the neuroses you let leak into your posts, i feel like further work with the medicine would do you some good.
also: re: angel season 4: really?? i thought it was so dark and convoluted i almost stopped watching. season 5 however is fucking righteous
It was a good vibe in the room at the ceremony. I knew one person and had good conversations with other more experienced people. It’s possible that the shaman wasn’t up to snuff. My brother was participating in a ceremony in Peru at the same time. He had a great experience. It’s possible that I need to have a few more sessions and really break it open. But for now I’m gonna wait. Also Angel Season 4 is amazing. I love it.
Hey Jesse, if you’re having ayahuasca ceremonies, that reminds me…what religion are you actually part of? Are you religious? I’m pretty sure you are based off of how much you talk about spirituality and some posts, but I’m curious…
I don’t participate in any one religious system. In casual conversation I usually tell people I believe in everything. I have a few touchstones, but mostly my ideas about life, death and the spirit are expanding as I grow older and learn more. I’d rather be additive than subtractive when it comes to this stuff. It creates a richer tapestry for me to enjoy.
Yo, gimmie something on my bday (As I am drunk and everyone else is asleep) it could be anything–a word ‘o’wisdom or anything else, really.
Happy birthday man. I have nothing wise to say. I’m feeling like a fool these days. Which would be alright, but I can’t say I’m even deep into the Fool’s shoes. More like the Pope.
good shit
Well, after the initial obsessively frenzied read through in a sitting, I subsequently took a few days to go through it again at a more deliberate pace, with some light research on the side. I’m more enthralled than ever. This is really something. I mean c’mon now.
I just reread the whole thing again and holy shit.
Spam word: splorge
I think the fool to be more wise than the pope. the pope might talk to good, but the fool eventually becomes god… or gets put in the stocks
