In 2005 I received a grant from the Xeric Foundation to publish the first in a series of books starring my cone hatted alter ego. I was riding high on the wings of Maldoror and the Palm Wine Drinkard. In this book we find our hero dealing with his hormones, future children, night monsters, karmic obstacles, city violence, pessimism, and beautiful hallucinations at the wheel.
