My name is Rob and I just wanted to say I love your work. I’ve been reading your stuff all day and I’m just blown away by your knowledge! I found your site thru the secret sun blog by Chris Knowles. I hope you’ve checked it out which I’m sure you have. Anyway I’m in a band called Verses the Octopus it’s my baby I write stuff from the heart and try to put messages from the “creators” that leak into my brain and into the music. I’m looking for a some musicans (keyboard,bass,drums) and I was wondering if maybe you would like to work on this project with me. We are based in upland Ca and its about 40 min from L.A. In fact I work in la as a draftsmen for SoCal Edison. They music is indie/prog I’m really inspired by bands like Depechemode and Tears for fears. We are in the studio right now working on 4 song E.P and all the stuff on the site is from last year. Anyway I love your stuff!!!

Hey Jesse, I’d like to throw out a couple of ideas about when you put something up and realize that you’ve left some little bit out, like Noah’s chest hair or the color of somebody’s pants. I think you should just leave it for the moment, and move on. Then, either fix it for the book, or leave it the same in the book with a little footnote that says “this shoulda been that-a-way instead of this-a-way.” Or, if you want to fix the two or three things I remember you saying you might fix, pick a date in the future that will be “go back and fix that stuff” date, and do it then (preferably, some timesafter some major plot resolutions)

You’re just clearly way busy doing tons of cool stuff; *Forming* is a (complicated!) labor of love and it’s understandable you’ll make some mistakes every once in a while. Just make some sort of policy about them you can live with and not stress over.

I absolutely love the mythic-anciet-pseudo-history vibes of this comic so much. Are there any other places online that you know of where I could get a dose of that stuff? Not necessarily comics but this same ancient history mythos type stuff.

Started reading this as soon as I listened to you and Pendelton Ward on the Duncan Trussell Family Hour. It doesn’t make a lick of sense but I love it! I almost feel bad that I read nearly four years’ worth of work in less than two days….
