No, I think it’s one of those you know…things. I’ve been saying “jacked up” for as long as I can remember. But other people say that too. So, I’m not gonna stop using it just because the show I work on uses it.

Was this comic in part inspired by stuff done by Matt Brinkman? It gives off a very similar vibe, the surreal settings while the characters use rash dialogue and slang, and some of the art looks similar (like the guys from 65 mil BC look a lot like Skeleton Jelly).

Also, I’m really loving this, gonna buy the hardcover when it comes out.

I have been a fan of Matt Brinkman since the days of Paper Podeo. I like his castle shapes, his monsters and his sense of humor. I don’t know if I am being influenced by him. But I probably wouldn’t put him on my list of influences, off the top of my head. I would say my biggest comic influences have been, my high school friend Nate Hardy, Dave Sim, Peter Bagge, X-Men artists from the late 80’s-early 90’s, Jim Woodring, Kevin Eastman, Robert Crumb, and Dash Shaw. I wish I had the energy to explain why these specific names come to mind.

Noah should base his decision off of the awesomeness level of either. Being created by a red horse man with antlers sounds much more preferable than creation via geometric shape that talks in Greek-script.
