Wow great one!
wow great one.
Seems like poor planning on Lucifer’s part imho
Seems like poor planning on pierre’s part imho
Splat!
Was this where you wanted to use “come at me bro”?
Yes.
When you crush a mini-Ghob, does it in turn give off many even tinier Ghob-lets?
oh man this is splendid. do you make the spamwords btw?
please don’t start using meme’s or other over used shit like “come at me bro”
I won’t. But I almost did.
Super action packed this time!
Jesse,
did your comic gain popularity simply by word-of-mouth? or did you post it somewhere? basically, how do i become you?
It was word of mouth and also I started working for Adventure Time. Although, I’m not sure how many readers I actually got from the A.T. audience.
I knew of the comic before, but I started reading after the Adventure Time connection reminded me of it. Do I count? =P
I love this page, man. It has very good pacing.
I actually started watching Adventure Time because of knowing about Forming. Now I’m hooked.
I started reading through Pen Ward recommending it at some convention. My friend just moved to LA (might join him in the fall) so I sent him forming and your bandcamp. Dunno if he’s reading it or listening to it, but I’m spreading this via my mouth.
I thank your mouth!
Just for unscientifically and probably very skewed statistics sake:
I found out about Forming when John Campbell (of PFSC) posted a link several years ago, and then I finally started watching Adventure Time because of this here comic.
I found Forming through this fanart by Emily Partridge. I was immediately hooked. http://empartridge.tumblr.com/post/35782595472/
All the mouths, spread it far and wide!
Love your comics! Keep pushin’ through don’t let the stress get ya! Would love to send you some fan mail if that’s ok.

Hey, Jesse, I got a copy of *The Secret Wisdom of All Ages,” partly because I just thought I needed to have it, and partly because you once mentioned that maybe that’s where you learned about Ghob. I haven’t, uhm, read it all yet (did you really read this whole thing? Wowsers.) But the index doesn’t mention Ghob. Is there maybe another source where you learned about the super-G? I’m intruiged to find out more. Thanks.
I forget where I saw mention of Ghob and it was like, one paragraph. Not really worth buying a book for. But Manly P Hall’s Secret Teaching of All Ages is one of the most astounding and readable collections of occult knowledge I’ve come across. Totally worth the read. There are some chapters you can skip if you don’t feel like getting too deep into it, but I think the contents will broaden anyone’s perspective about our life tapestry.
I just read all of Forming since episode 1 and for like 12 hrs I had a way better life than all you schmucks!
I whole heartedly agree, and I think he prefers “Manly P”.
There is a whole bunch of secret wisdom….
Did you ever look at The Secret Doctrine by H. P. Blavatsky? I haven’t but I heard it was interesting.
I read Isis Unveiled by Blavatsky. Found it a little bit windy. Some juicy bits.
You certainly have gotten a lot of good mileage out of the one paragraph. I don’t think I bought it *just* for that reference, but it kind of pushed me over the edge, as it were. It will probably be summer before I can really give it the time it deserves. I have listed to a couple of his lectures on youtube (there are a lot of them up), and my reaction was something like, “Wow, this is relevant, but it’s from another time; I don’t know if people know how to pay attention to this kind of delivery anymore.” It’s clear, but to get it, it sort of demanded that you listen to every single word.
“You can’t step to this” is totally a meme I’m afraid.
As long as I wasn’t aware of it, I don’t care.
Memes are just neologisms anyway, I don’t think they’re out of the remit of your characters’ already anachronistic turns of phrase. But I can totally see why you wouldn’t want to use them (and I wouldn’t myself if I were doing something like this).
Besides, there’s only one hit for “you can’t step to this meme”, which to me means it ain’t one.
Really awesome, love reading this! I remember when someone posted this entire series on 4chan and everyone really liked it! Not sure what that says about the comic ;P Great work though!
a quick read, if you’re interested in hermetic principles, is the kyballion.
its not very cryptic, easy to grasp, and to the point.
@aaran aw dang I wish I could have seen that thread. Would have been a nice boost to my ego haha
Love Rhea’s trashtalk!
