…and I’m certain ‘yoink’ predates the Simpsons. I believe it comes from a sound effect on all Hanna Barbara cartoons used whenever something got snatched. ‘Yoink’ is our collective attempt to reproduce this sound verbally.

Makes me think of Twin Peaks.

I’ve always used the word “boosh” as a sound effect for dominance. Like doing a slam dunk over someone’s head or something.

Sigh… All caught up now. found your comic from a tumblr post from “Three Word phrase”, which he re-blogged from EMpartridge. It was fan-art she drew of Lucifer speaking through the corpse head earlier on in the story, saying “cut the shit man”. She typed, “If you’re not reading and loving forming then what are you even doing with your life, SERIOUSLY?”

I tapped on the link (been reading on my iPhone), and it was the best decision I made last week. This comic is beyond rad, and inspiring in so many ways. I look forward to the future updates, even though I’m sure it’ll be painful waiting for them. Anyway, I now know what I’m “even doing with my life, seriously.”
