Kime Agine started as a strip for the now defunct Philadelphia Independent. Later on it was picked up by the Philadelphia Weekly and ran from February 2006 until July 2007.
How the name ‘Kime Agine’ came about is a long convoluted story and basically comes down to the fact that I hate coming up with titles.
Anyway, it was a fun experiment to see if I could create a three panel strip that was worth reading every week. Some weeks turned into serious torture sessions, with me pulling my hair out, trying to think of anything to write about. It really gave me a deeper appreciation for Fred Basset. All 76 strips have been archived on the lower left.

Did you ever get hate mail from readers who were offended, either by the obviously racist content or the excessively confessional, solipsistic prism you see everything through?
Do you think 76 strips are to few to be collected in a printed omnibus?
Considering way worse shit gets aired on Family Guy every day, it makes sense that no one seemed offended by Kime Agine’s race jokes. But I came across a blogger once who hated the strip for it’s “solipsistic” qualities. I just looked for it, but can’t seem to find it now. It wasn’t an in depth critique anyway. It was like one sentence.
Also I did attempt to get the strips collected in print form but none of the publishers I sent them to showed interest.
Self pubblish and I will buy…
But if you’re not good with book layouts and printing outputs, I am, and all I’d want for that would be a copy. jusssayin…
