89 - 122

Serapis, who has been dazed (by receiving a message from the ape-man with the mammoths who turned Atys into a rock) wanders lost to a high cliff top and discards his helmet. A bluebird guides Adam to a meet Serapis there, where Serapis tells Adam he has a message for him.
The lizard-man created by Lucifer rides a giant lizard to the pit or Tartarus. He jumps in and meets the flying brain creature seen earlier by Cain (which is some conglomeration of Mithras’s cyclops children; it has an angular eye like the ape-man and Steropes, and talks of Iapetus as a brother). The brain gives the lizard-man the Lapis Exilis. Lizardboy implants the jewel into his forehead causing a massive surge of power.
Iapetus (as Nommo) has gathered all his Titans on the shore, waiting for Cain. Cronus and Themis observe from a nearby hill, where Themis admonishes Cronus for never hanging out with her. Iapetus sees Cain and tries to zap him with a laser gun, uttering possibly the best line in the story so far, but Cain easily deflects the shots.
Cain splats the entire Titan army.
Meanwhile Rhea is still fucking shit up in the forest. Ghob turns up to taunt her, and makes her cry by threatening not to fight her. Just as Rhea is about to do something totally rad, Gaia turns up and her face falls off revealing nothing but pure whiteness underneath. Rhea attacks her; Ghob tries to stop her, saying she’ll ruin everything. A fight ensues in which Ghob eats one of Rhea’s arms. In the struggle, the baby Zeus escapes and watches the fighting continue.
In the past, the melty creatures that greeted Nommo are observing and having problems keeping track. They observe the new powers of the lizardboy and resolve not to do anything yet.
Lizardboy escapes the pit of Tartarus and is instructed by Lucifer to go find Iapetus. In between him and Iapetus stands Cain, who wants that jewel in his head. Cain is busy cleaning up the last Titans when the lizard zaps him to the ground.
Meanwhile, in nowhere, Michael rests with Mithras. He is visited by Metatron, who mentiones that Mithras will soon be required. He also hints that the Ain Soph is not the supreme ultimate being. Michael is hard to talk to, and not big of brain, and gets upset; his tears rain into the cosmos from his hiding place. Metatron apparently leaves, but perhaps has posessed Mithras instead.
Back on Earth, it appears that Abel (Adam and Eve’s son, brother of Seth and half-brother to Cain) has entered a coma since Cain left. Cain and lizardboy, who still can’t stabilise himself as a human form, exchange words.

That is a good summary except, I think, the part where Metatron and Michael are talking about Ain Soph. I dont think that Metatron is actually saying the Ain Soph isn’t the ultimate being, I think he is instead hinting that Michael (along with Lucifer) are the creators of the material universe that everyone lives in.

Doesn’t Michael already know that though? Lucifer tells him that after their fight.

I suppose it depends on what you mean by “ultimate being.” Obviously Michael knows that the material universe was the result of his battle with Lucifer, but I think the revelation is supposed to be that Ain Soph can’t reclaim said universe back into the whole. Michael’s hatred of his physical form implies that such a state of entity is an abomination to Ain Soph’s supreme harmony. I see Metatron’s statement as meaning that Ain Soph cannot purify such an abomination, not that Ain Soph isn’t (otherwise?) the ultimate being.

But if you take “ultimate” to meaning “omnipotent,” then yes, that is exactly what Metatron is saying. Whether that’s news to Michael or not, I do not know.
