Okay. I know this is not the wisest thing to do in terms of keeping reader interest. But I am going on a three month hiatus from Forming. Saturday will be my final post until I return on May 8th 2010.
There are two reasons for this.
1. Before I posted the first episode of Forming, I spent 7 months +, researching and jotting down ideas for characters and rough story arcs. As of today I have reached slightly beyond any solid plans I had laid out. I have ideas but I have to make sure the pieces fit and that the content is jammed with goodness. Basically I have to regroup, do a ton of reading on topics I want to explore, and also figure out the major trajectories; all to make sure this thing continues to be as good as I want it to be.
2. It looks like I will also simultaneously be taking a temp job at a place I cannot publicly talk about right now. This job will last two months and require me to move across the country. So it would be best for me to take this opportunity to bone up on reading/note taking rather than actual drawing. The money I make at this job will allow me to live work free for the next year. Unless I blow it all on roulette.
I want to assure my small cluster of regular readers that Forming is my main priority in life these days and I am simply taking the time off to keep this thing from rolling off the tracks. I hope you can bear with the silent process! Meanwhile GWC will continue for 12 more pages. (I’ve finished 8 of them.) And saturday’s episode will be a two pager.

EDIT: So I think I can confirm now that I will be in LA, starting on Feb 20th, working for the Cartoon Network. I’ll be doing storyboard revisions for a cartoon called Adventure Time. It’s a temporary gig, but could maybe turn into something more depending on their budget etc… I didn’t want to say anything until I was sure it was happening. We’ve been back and forth for months discussing what kind of position they wanted to give me there. Meanwhile I’m living on soy sauce! Revision artist is sort of the lowest rung of the ladder from what I gather. Basically for people who’ve had no previous experience in the field. But it sure pays good. Anyway it’s a kids cartoon and the people involved all seem really cool. Okay o that’s the update. LATERS
