Is summer wars that bad? It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I just pegged it as childish.

Also, popo, I don’t think Jesse has enough of a following yet to try to sell stuff like shirts. I don’t know any of the the numbers, but I assume Forming would need a lot more readers before it would be worthwhile for him to go through the trouble.

I know what you mean about being concerned with webcomics with poor merchandise though. I often see webcomic creators make really perplexing desisions about what to make into a shirt. But while sometimes the author will mention that they aren’t selling well, other times they fly off the shelves, so who knows?

It’s so fucking shit isn’t it? Summer Wars, I mean. I went to this “big” “premiere” of it, first ever showing outside of Japan, a guy stood up in the theatre and gave a speech about how the director’s “the new Miyazaki” and blah blahblah blah and it was the biggest load of shite…and get this I coulda been ogling, I mean drawing, burlesque dancers at that Dr. sketchy’s thing. I was fuckin’ pissed off. Great comic, by the way.

Jesse, I want to be clear that this doesn’t actually bother me.

I am assuming that Noah is supposed to be seated in the lotus posture (padmasana). This posture is accomplished with the heels actually touching the abdomen.

Now, that being said, many sages develop their own idiosyncrasies during seated practice, and Noah is certainly a sage.

The closest posture I can think of to the way he is seated in panels 11-13 is agnistambhasana, but even there his feet would have to be on his knees essentially.

I love your work though. I’m just letting you know this stuff if you don’t know it already.

Hahaha. No, if you were more informed you’d still make comics, but you wouldn’t be able to adhere to a weekly output. I’ve been practicing it for a long time now, so I’m sensitive to that stuff.

Summer Wars is one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. It’s jaw droppingly bad. To me. You can like it all you want!

I love a lot of anime. I walked out of the theater in disbelief that a movie could be that misguided. It was impressive in its shittiness.

Enjoying movies like Summer Wars and shows like Sword Art doesn’t automatically make you a moron just because they are less developed stories. Lots of younger viewers are entering the anime/manga/rpg fandoms(the very same ones watching your work in AdventureTime) and putting yourself on a pedestal like your above such lowly commoner trash is a bit ironic given the nature of your own art work. I guess I was wrong to assume you’d know better then to possibly offend young fans that watched and enjoyed Summer Wars on the very same network you work for… I didn’t think anyone would have to tell the creator of this comic to get off that damn high horse, but there it is. Shed that ego and get some perspective. Cool thats your opinion, but its honestly really bad form.
