Okay y’all this really stinks. So the guy who was helping me print my tarot cards has officially split town. I think he has blocked me on email. It looks like I’m out $7000 unless I try taking him to small claims court. I talked to the printing house he was working with and they had fired him for being what I suppose is a complete fuck up. I’m not sure what to do next. I have a little bit of money left that I was saving to finish the print job ($3000). I feel like the printing house is partially responsible but apparently he was an independent contractor working out of there. I don’t know how that holds up legally but I’m really not a litigious kind of person. I don’t know. All I can say is that I’m really sorry for how long this is taking. <\/p>\n
I’m currently unemployed and have been mostly not working for the past 8 months. There is a union strike possibly coming up at the end of October so I’m not sure where I will stand financially in the next couple months. I will make it a priority to get these prints made. I just gotta find a new quality printing house. I’ll try using the same specs I had set up while working with Carlos to expedite the process. Sorry again for the disappointing update. Never really been in this kind of situation before. Reminds me of the time I was broke in Philly. I had $30 left to my name and this guy came up to me asking for gas money. He said he had a truck of sandwiches he could give me if I helped him out. I gave him $30 and he never came back. A year later I saw him shooting up behind a bush. That was when I was like 19 years old. <\/p>\n
One the brighter side I am in lawyer negotiations with Cartoon Network to develop a short called Hungy Ghost. If all goes well I’ll get paid for 12 weeks to make it. Then I’ll have enough money to print the tarot cards with a reputable printing house who won’t completely screw me over. That’s if we don’t go on strike.
