The cube in XV represented the body of the Tower. This is the hellmouth depicted in the mystery plays of the 1500\u2019s. The Tower must be blown apart to liberate its inhabitants. Through radical honesty not only are the Lovers freed, but the Devil himself. He destroys his prison and is redeemed through personal revelation as he cries, \u201cMy mind is blown, dude!\u201d His mind is the crown of the Tower exploding in a shower of stone and mana. He rises to the heavens and will become the Star (XVII). The clouds part for him revealing the rainbow sky of the Temperance card.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As the Lovers touch the earth, they fertilize their surroundings; growing instead of rebuilding the prison. They will manifest again as the Moon and the Sun.
