In her esoteric library she grows in knowledge, gestating on it like a fertile egg waiting to hatch (when the time is right). The number II implies the first instance of this accumulation.<\/p>\n<p>She sits on the cube of Earth, guarding the veiled gates of Boaz and Jachin: receptive and active principles of life (water and fire). These opposites are joined by the cross that holds her top on. Her clothing is the flesh and natural world that conceal her spiritual insight.<\/p>\n<p>The Popess sides heavily with the receptive mind; downloading straight from the source. Her crown reaches up through the border of the card like an antennae to God; her head like a pitcher to be filled and dropped further down into her womb where she will give birth to the results of her investigation.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime she continues to study in secret. She partially hides her book beneath her pregnant belly.
