So yesterday I had a second meeting with the guys at Starburns Industries. They produce Rick and Morty and other animated projects past and present (Anomalisa Morel Orel\u00a0 etc…). I met up with them about a month ago to see if they wanted to do something with me: either co-producing Manly episodes with Frederator, or picking up one of my abandoned pilots, or developing something from scratch. I gave their head of development a pile of stuff and he agreed to sort through it and get back to me.<\/p>\n

So a month later I got together with him (Casey) again and in a strange turn, he wants to try developing the old pitch I did forever ago about the guy who falls from a pyramid in space and lands on a hostile planet. I had a couple titles for it: “Alone”, “Above and Below” and some others. The main guy looked like this, if you recall (I will be re-designing him, as his head was upsettingly close to a character belonging to Bjorn Miner).<\/p>\n

\"Alone_Page_01\"<\/a>So they asked me to re-tool it for an older audience. I’m bringing my brother Justin in to help me re-imagine the world a bit and streamline some stuff to make all the moving parts move in harmony with each other. So I’ll be taking you guys along on this new journey, which will hopefully result in an animated pilot.<\/p>\n

This is basically our chance to make something with sophisticated adult themes, and no limit to what we find funny, while also having a functional production house backing us up. So here’s to hope! Let’s see what happens…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
