Diego Sanchez is an MMA fighter. He put his life on the line for 7 days in order to get a message from God regarding his new inspirational nickname. So often fighters put their faith in God so that they don&#8217;t have to bear all the pressure of performing in the ring. This mentality pulls from their connectivity to the cosmos; drawing strength from a source outside of their own muscle tissue and training.<\/p>\n<p>In this day and age, the idea of risking your life to heal oneself through faith and revelation is wholesale mocked, and almost considered a crime. Look at the comment section of this video. To be honest, Diego should have gone straight to the hospital. His reluctance to go could also be a reflection of his fear of mortality and not wanting to face a hard truth from the empirical medical establishment.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/U1MXFLKgFKs\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, what resulted was a story that no one can take away from Diego; a message from deep inside that changed the way he thought about himself and how he affects the people around him. The only way he could have come to this conclusion and conviction was through a spiritual trial: like Jesus in the desert, or Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree.<\/p>\n<p>This kind of shit can still happen today. Also this story connects heavily to my thoughts on sublime violence, the spirit overcoming the flesh, and the personal transmutation that is possible through martial arts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love hearing stories like this.
