I was able to paint today without too much pain in my left shoulder. I’m going to a very fancy physical therapy place where they’re doing everything to me at once: neck traction, massage, chiropractor stuff, electrodes etc… and I’m taking tumeric pills and flax seed oil. I’m trying my best to eat super clean – no gluttens, no sugar… but I’m also an emotional eater and I’m depressed about feeling pain when I draw, so that makes me want to eat a slice of fucking cake. Anyway I managed to not eat cake today and eat blueberries with walnuts instead. I’m still hoping to be able to compete in jiu jitsu at the end of June. <\/p>\n

I’ve been listening to a LOT of conspiracy stuff on youtube and itunes. I don’t know why exactly. I think I was being subconsciously affected by working on the Devil tarot card. I even suspect that’s why I got hit by a car. Today I made sure to put away all the remnants of my work on the Devil card. Not that the Devil was controlling me, but that my mind was fixated on a degenerate mental space and this was having a rippling effect on my daily life. I even found that I was arguing with my girlfriend often and it all seemed to be coming from that energy? Maybe? Well I hope that’s all over. No more accidents and arguments. BLEHGH. <\/p>\n

I’m still knee deep in flat earth theory, pizza gate and interdimensional vampires. If you don’t know about any of this stuff, you are BETTER OFF. But it looks like flat earth has taken a small foothold in popular culture. I think I heard Shaq is a flat Earther. Flat Earth feels like the final rebellion of the disenfranchised Right against consensus reality. It’s basically a, “Fuck everything you think is real!” temper tantrum. I would be more fascinated by it if the main pundit for flat Earth theory wasn’t a total anti-Semite. That’s the dark underbelly of the conspiracy world: you do some fun researching on the web about how Paul McCartney died and was replaced, and you end up reading some stuff about evil Jews on that same page. The anti-Semetic contingent of the conspiracy world has always been there, but it was way less prevalent in the 90’s X-Files era that I grew up in. Conspiracies during that time felt more like a Leftist punk thing. Anyway it bums me out. <\/p>\n

It’s also funny to notice how much conspiracy theory culture is tied to American fundamentalist Christian beliefs and complete ignorance regarding occult history and symbols. They’re constantly conflating Hermetic symbolism with literal Satanic interpretation, which as far as I can tell was never really a thing. Maybe I’m wrong about this but Anton LaVey comes across like a complete joke charlatan on the level of Marilyn Manson. <\/p>\n
