I wanted to imply the dominant hierarchy of transgender super beings in the guild, so the image is loaded with masculine\/feminine union symbolism. The Greek\/Egyptian sphinx also hearkens back to my initial fascination with the Philip Glass opera based on the life of Akhenaten, who was theorized to have both male and female genitalia, thus making them more godlike.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spent the day trying to figure out the look of the Assassin&#8217;s Guild space fortress.
