I finally have it where I want it and I&#8217;m ready to move on to the next 6 eps. <\/p>\n<p>There were some fundamental character motivations and plot mechanics that had to be massaged for the rest of the episodes to make sense. This thing is heavy on <em>plot<\/em> and <em>concepts<\/em>, so it takes a certain amount of acrobatics to bring characters to the forefront. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jessemoynihan.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_3354.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/jessemoynihan.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_3354.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3354\" width=\"620\" height=\"620\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3690\" srcset=\"http:\/\/jessemoynihan.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_3354.jpg 620w, http:\/\/jessemoynihan.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_3354-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/jessemoynihan.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_3354-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile in my leisure life, I just played through Inside, which executes a considerable artistic leap beyond their previous game, Limbo. Both games are great, but Inside is better in how its puzzles work with the mysterious narrative, and in its art direction. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/E0V2rPVQWfM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also guiltily grinding up my character in Destiny. Destiny is a piece of shit game with fun mechanics. Every mission has a barely coherent story with zero stakes in the heroes or villains involved. Concepts are thrown around with no context to give them weight. It&#8217;s like if you took Mass Effect and made it suck for a lot of money. Who the hell was in charge of the story for this game?  It&#8217;s an empty shell of a product, but a few of my friends play it online so it&#8217;s fun to shoot aliens with them before I go to bed. <\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>In other more interesting news, I recently met Rich Vreeland aka Disasterpiece, who composed the music for It Follows, and we may be working on a short film together maybe.
