Been slow going on these personal projects due to the storyboard deadline for Manly. But that might not happen for a few weeks. I have to be sure that they won&#8217;t make the cut. No spoilers! <\/p>\n<p>Recently someone on the internet clued me into the recent work of Nick DiLiberto who did this fantastic Medusa short back in 2010.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kqsV1AwIIew\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Since then I guess he&#8217;s been working on video games but in his free time, slaving away on an hour+ animated feature by himself! Pretty impressive. I can&#8217;t wait to see it. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/flaUHJhU_gY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It goes to show that if you want to produce a full length animated feature without the meddling of corporate funding, you can actually do it. You might kill yourself in the process, but it is possible. After Manly is complete and if Smuggle Brothers doesn&#8217;t materialize, I may end up storyboarding a feature. I have some ideas for that. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile my Smuggle Brothers bible was approved, an outline for the pilot was selected and now I have the green light to work on a storyboard. I will start working on that once the Manly board is complete. I&#8217;m pretty happy with the Smuggle Brothers pilot outline.
