Welcome to The Lodge, where I&#8217;ll be posting concept drawings, thumbnail sketches, and works in progress relating to the making of Forming. I will also be posting thoughts on comics, music, animation, storytelling and anything else that I feel like putting down into words. <a href=\"http:\/\/jessemoynihan.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_1351.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jessemoynihan.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_1351.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\u00a0 These are a series of concept drawings I did to develop the look of the nameless obsidian character who hates Nommo for some reason. He is based on an obsidian ball that is in my room that I meditate in front of. I bought the obsidian ball to replicate a vision I had of a black hole in a room I was in 7 or so years ago. It was a vision I had about fear and my ego of course! I&#8217;ve seen symbols of this image represented everywhere in my life since and so I decided to make it into a character.<\/p>\n<p>The drawing above this text looks like a dang Adventure Time character. That shows how the look of AT was seeping into my subconscious drawing habits. It&#8217;s been hard to shake some of that stuff out of my personal work.
